Cats are independent animals and from the beginning, they do not need any help in breeding themselves. The cats earlier were used to keep home safe from the rats. When the human started keeping cats as their pets they have started breeding cats.
There are about 70 different cat breeds and if we exclude the wild cats like the tigers etc there are 40, which are domesticated. Some of the cats date back thousand of years. There is a Japanese Bobtail, which is breed from Japan and was found one thousand year in history. They were very common in Japan and the world over.
The Persian cat, Alley cat and the longhaired cat are the most common breeds found in North America. Siamese cats are also common they are known to be very aggressive and bad tempered.
The Persian variety are the most expensive cats in the world.
Alley cats are the most common cats found in North America. The Alley cats are names given to several breeds and all together are known as Alley cats. The Alley cats make good pets, and they are good breeders and they will continue to breed. The Alley cat being the street cats have nothing else to do so they just breed.
The breed of the cat is determined by the color and the look. The different cats have different breed like in the case of Siamese cats. The Siamese cats are usually black in color and are easily identifiable by their eye color.
Their hair and body type can identify Persian cats. The cat is the most preferred pet the world over and they make a very good companion, as they are cleaner than dogs and are very playful and fun loving animals.
