Usually if you are a dog owner you would know that Golden Retrievers very much love to be included in all the family activities like going out in the car and traveling. They like attention and love to be treated like one of the family members. Initially, when you bring the puppy home, you would like to teach the golden retriever how to enjoy the car rides and traveling, which will make him appreciate it when he grows older.
To make him adjust to traveling give him small amount of food through out the day which will help him adjust and not get sick while traveling. By reducing the amount of food that he consumes, he’ll be much more in control of his bladder and himself.
While traveling, make frequent stops for the Golden Retriever to relive himself and exercise. Golden Retriever can hold himself but it is not good for him. You should always be kind to your dog whatever miles you cover and stop every so often to let him have some time.
The most common mistake you can avoid is to let the dog keep his head out of the moving vehicle as they can easily get injured on their eye, ear or nose. The cars moving at the speed from the opposite direction can serious damage your dog.
If you stop anywhere do not let your dogs stay in the car with the windows up. Even if you keep the window open the Golden Retriever never leave them alone as they can get heatstroke from being kept in the car. If you simply must leave your dog in the car, make sure that you park in the shade and give him plenty of air.
The Golden Retriever would love to travel with you if you take care of him and make them used to it. Once you have taken your dog traveling with you, he will know when it’s time to travel and eventually learn to tell you when you need to stop so he can use the bathroom.
When you have pets at home, you would want to take care of them and when they fall sick you would want to take them to the Vets and give them some medicine. Giving the cats any medicine will be very difficult as the cat would not want to eat anything and would fight tooth and nail if anything is put into their mouths. Even though the cats are small it is very difficult to open their mouth and put that pill. The most popular way would be to crush that pill into powder and putting it in between two spoons and putting it into their mouth. Or the best will be to mix it with some wet cat food. If the medicine is in the capsule form, you need to open the capsule and again mix the powder inside the wet cat food. But there are chances if the cat is sick they would not touch that food at all. Once you have got it you should learn how to use it and the hardest part will be to make the cat open their mouths. As this gun will ensure that the pill goes directly into the throat of the cat. You will need to hold that cat tight and make sure that they do not wiggle loose. Once you have the mouth open you can shoot the gun and lodge the pill into their throat. After the pills make sure you treat your cat to some goodies.
If the gun is not comfortable try giving the pill by hand. To do this hold the cat still and open the mouth with your hand and shove that pill right into the back of the throat. Once the pill is inside shut the mouth with your hand to ensure that the pill has been swallowed.
If all this does not work, you can ask your pharmacy to give a flavored gel or liquid medications. This can be used as the last resort as this the expensive way to medicate your cat.
