Cats are independent animals and from the beginning, they do not need any help in breeding themselves. The cats earlier were used to keep home safe from the rats. When the human started keeping cats as their pets they have started breeding cats.

Most of the cats need little or no grooming, but the owner needs to take of their eyes, ears and coat. The coat is the very important part of the cat, which needs brushing every day. Use proper brush or comb; gently brush from front-to-back to keep shedding, knots to a minimum. When you are brushing, keep a check on the ears, eyes, teeth and claws. The eyes should be bright and clear without any dust particle at the corner. The ears should be clean, pink and there should be no ear mites. Ear mites are very difficult to remove and they are irritating for the cat. They usually come from the dirt, which are in the cats ears. The cat can also become deaf if proper care is not taken. The best is to keep the ears healthy and clean.

Every day when you groom your cat, you should make sure to check the ears, eyes, claws and teeth. However, if the cat resists leave him alone do not force him into it and try it the next day. You will find that after some time they will like it and will look forward to the grooming daily.
